Headwinds Ltd. coaching and consulting services are designed to help CEOs and business owners overcome challenges that are barriers to increased revenue, higher profitability and reduced costs. These challenges might involve operating issues, like declining revenue or sales, or low margins. Or the challenges may be with employees – getting employees to become more accountable and committed or helping your firm to become more innovative.

Albert Einstein said “We cannot solve problems with the same level of consciousness that created them.” It is from this perspective that we try to help our clients see their challenges from a different perspective. We help you to tap into your own creativity. The scientific term for this is “facilitating neuro-plasticity.” In other words, we help you stretch your mind to consider new possibilities.

Our target clients are intelligent and hard working. They have a sense of humor, are life-long learners and have a genuine desire to change things for the better. As a group, they are looking for an objective partner who will act as their sounding board when they are faced with making tough choices, work as their co-designer when they are initiating an extraordinary project, and provide encouragement and support when strong actions are required.

Your Agenda is Our Primary Focus

Think about it. When was the last time you were able to talk about your goals and the obstacles you face with someone who is objective, a good listener, and whose only agenda is to help you succeed? Some people never get that chance. What would it mean to you to have that good listener ask constructive questions that make you think seriously about how to reach your future potential? What if you could have these discussions once a week for 45 minutes?

The client’s agenda is always our primary focus. Our work together is collaborative with the coach acting as a guide and facilitator. Often, the barriers we identify are elements like processes, communication, or knowledge and skills. At times, the barrier starts with the client and his or her view of the situation.

Recent cases:

• Revenue generation less than forecast in a professional services firm. We helped the client see that more involvement and greater accountability among the senior staff could lighten his load and improve new business generation. Revenue is steadily improving.
• Excessive turnover in a consulting firm. We helped the client see cultural and management style issues that contributed directly to turnover – at that point running 35% annually. With changes in how management dealt with employees and people issues, turnover fell to zero 18 months later.
• Inadequate business planning in law firm. We helped the client see how a lack of planning was leaving her unfocused and largely unable to execute her business development strategy.

Introductory Session

We start every client relationship with a complimentary introductory session, even if the client is ready to sign up with us. It helps them to sample our approach and it helps Headwinds Ltd. to understand whether we can help them.

In this introductory session, we will work with you to:

• Clarify your business vision.
• Identify key strategic milestone objectives – these could be sales, revenue, profitability, employee accountability, or business planning.
• Uncover hidden challenges and blind spots that may be sabotaging your success.
• Create a long-term plan and a next steps action plan.
• Leave the session renewed, inspired, and re-energized about the business and excited about how your business can bring you everything their heart desires.

Our services are not for you if you are not strongly motivated to make improvements in your business or if you are looking for a quick fix – an improvement program takes time. But if you are willing to invest in yourself, we can help you work wonders in your business.
